The professional association of OWASP Foundation Inc., is always free and open to anyone interested in learning more about application security. Prior to participating with OWASP please review the Chapter Rules and the OWASP overview for some background. As a 501(3)c non-profit professional association your support and sponsorship of a meeting venue and/or refreshments is tax-deductible and all financial contributions can be made online using the online chapter donation button. We encourage organization and individual supporters of our ethics & principals to become a voting MEMBER. To be a SPEAKER at a future meeting simply review the speaker agreement and then contact the local chapter leader with details of what OWASP PROJECT, independent research or related software security topic you would like to present on.

Local Activities
OWASP Italy Chaper was found by Matteo Meucci in January 2005.
- There is a qualified group (CISSP, CISA, BS7799 Lead Auditor, OPST, OPSA) of volunteers working on the following tasks:
- Working at the new OWASP Testing Guide! (Matteo Meucci, Alberto Revelli, Stefano Di Paola, Giorgio Fedon, Luca Carettoni, Antonio Parata, Carlo Pelliccioni, Claudio Merloni, Mauro Bregolin)

Nov, 2007 - sqlmap v0.5
Bernardo Damele and Daniele Bellucci have released the fifth versions of the tool sqlmap. sqlmap is an automatic SQL injection tool entirely developed in Python. It is capable to perform an extensive database management system back-end fingerprint, retrieve remote DBMS databases, usernames, tables, columns, enumerate entire DBMS, read system files and much more taking advantage of web application programming security flaws that lead to SQL injection vulnerabilities.
You can download the latest stable version from its SourceForge File List page or the latest development version from its SourceForge SVN repository.
