Lester has over 13 years of working experience in cybersecurity, holding Sans GCIH certification. His interest in Security started back in the days where IRC were the main internet communication channels. He stumbled upon the website of Cult of the dead cow and learned about the existence of tools such as SubSe7en, Netbus, LOIC, malware and virus creator. Since then the passion in security has been burning.
His past careers includes working for IBM, ST Electronics, M1, NCS and GovTech. His experience has started from desktop, server hardening, managing firewalls to security governance, web application pentesting and code review. His previous role at GovTech involves driving application security pipeline adoption across government agencies and educating government agencies on hacker's mindset.
He is currently mentoring students for Institute of Technical Education, Singapore Computer Society and involved in Singapore Internet Task Force; which aims to improve Singapore's cybersecurity posture.
His hobbies includes photography, motorsports and gaming.
