February 2011 Chapter Meeting
OWASP Scotland - February 2011
The OWASP Scotland February meeting is happening on Thursday 24th February at 6:30pm.
The venue for this meeting is the Royal Scots Club on Abercromby Place.
We've got two talks lined up for the event :-
Eoin Keary, who's a member of the OWASP global board, will be along to give us some information on the outcomes from the OWASP Global Summit that's curently taking place in Portugal. the summit has a large number of people from the Global application security community working on various areas of web application security (the agendas on the OWASP wiki here http://www.owasp.org/index.php/Summit_2011_Schedule).
We also have Suzanne Webster and Colin Cassidy from GE, who will be giving a presentation on the BSIMM model (http://bsimm.com/) for developing a secure development lifecycle. With secure development practices becoming more important all the time, this should be a really interesting topic for discussion.
