OWASP Zed Attack Proxy Project
The Zed Attack Proxy (ZAP) is an easy to use integrated penetration testing tool for finding vulnerabilities in web applications.
It is designed to be used by people with a wide range of security experience and as such is ideal for developers and functional testers who are new to penetration testing.
ZAP provides automated scanners as well as a set of tools that allow you to find security vulnerabilities manually.

The current version of ZAP is 1.2.0.

ZAP is a fork of the well regarded Paros Proxy.

The developments planned for this release include:
- BeanShell integration
- Fuzzing (using components from JBroFuzz)
- APIs to allow other tools to interact with ZAP
- Full internationalization
Future releases are likely to include:
- Further improvements to the passive and active automated scanners
- Further improvements the Spider
Involvement in the development of ZAP is actively encouraged!
