OWASP NZ Chapter planning and strategy for year 2007 - 12/12/2006

Leaders chapter met and discussed the planning and strategy for the NZ OWASP chapter 2007 year. It has been decided to find a sponsor and do a press release in order to attract attention from the public, media and companies at the same time. This will help us to have more potential attendants since the first meeting.

Agreement with Sponsor and national press release programmed for February 2007 - 21/12/2006

A sponsor has been found and it will allow NZ Owasp chapter to use its facilities once a month. It has been planned to have the first meeting of the NZ OWASP chapter in February in order to enough time to organize with the sponsor, the media and the potential attendants.

Plan for the first meeting - 08/12/2006

Leaders discussed the main topics for the first meeting. As most NZ web applications are vulnerable, a NZ web security dossier will be introduced in order to give the background of the situation in NZ. That will allow us to illustrate the reasons why we are promoting OWASP in New Zealand and what we would like to achieve with OWASP involving different parties such as companies and government.
