LindaLeigh Richert Aberdale is a Cybersecurity Consultant and Partner in Aberdale and Associates, LLC. She holds PMP, CISA, CSSLP, and CISSP credentials. Ms. Aberdale began her software engineering career with Digital Equipment Corporation in 1990, working in DECnet Engineering for 15 years. She oversaw the production of DECnet releases, was primary DECnet contact for roughly 120 customers worldwide, and coordinated activities of the DECnet team located in the U.S. and India. In 2005 she moved into the security field, starting as a security engineer for Electronic Data Systems. She later filled security architect and project manager roles in Hewlett-Packard’s Global Information Security team and became a risk assessor in the Cybersecurity Solutions Group. She left Hewlett-Packard in 2012 after leading risk assessment projects for approximately 80 health care, life sciences, and commercial accounts. Ms. Aberdale is on the Board of OWASP’s Boston Chapter. She holds a B.S. in Management with Computer Applications from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (1988) and an M.S. in Systems Engineering from Boston University (1991).
